Out West and a new blog
Posted by Jim Pedley on December 24, 2007
As a first step, I have begun to publish my report about a trip to the American Southwest I took with my son, fourteen years ago in search of a long-lost cousin. I have titled the report “Out West”. I will publish new chapters at regular intervals. I have been a keen writer for many years, so I may come up with other texts soon. My son tells me I should just gibber away. Something useful is bound to emerge! Perhaps I will do just that.

Trust my son to give everyone the impression that I am an expert in the spouting of gibberish…!
Mind you as an ‘Oldie’ or ‘Silver Surfer’- as I believe folk of my generation are called – I shouldn’t really be battered down by lack of confidence when I issue my first, very own, blog to this outlet that my son has compiled for me.
It is a fact that some of the comments I have been browsing are going to compare quite easily with my own spoutings…
At the moment I am groping for experience in the mechanics of conducting a blog, and I hope the rest of you will forgive my puny efforts at saying ‘Hi’ to you, my fellow bloggers.
So, here goes: ‘Hi, there World. Any room for an ‘Oldie?’
