Why this blog? 

This blog represents my first step into internet publishing. I was talked into it by my son, Mark. I am not new to the internet, however, I am not a computer geek either, so new systems and concepts tend to mean a steep learning curve is required. Let’s see how it works out!

As a first step, I have begun to publish my report about a trip to the American Southwest I took with my son, fourteen years ago in search of a long-lost cousin. I have entitled the report “Out West”. I will publish new chapters at regular intervals.  I have been an aspiring writer for some years, so I may come up with other texts soon. My son tells me I should just gibber away. Something useful is bound to emerge! Perhaps I will do just that…
